Description
Full-time position responsible for the production of all live-stream video broadcasts. It is expected that the Director of Broadcast will assist in the production of video content and graphics in support of the entire athletic department.

Job Duties
• Responsible for all aspects of live production on ESPN3, ESPN+ and the SoCon Digital Network for all Samford home events, including soccer, volleyball, football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball.
• Hire, train, and manage student workers who assist in game-day production.
• Hire and manage contracted workers, including broadcast talent and freelance production help.
• Organize and archive all video footage, including full broadcasts, highlights, interviews, season preview features, etc.
• Upgrade and maintain all production equipment, including cameras, switcher, replay, graphics, etc.
• Assist with social media, specifically with uploading highlights and interviews to various social platforms immediately following games.
• Provide media outlets with video highlight packages for release
• Schedule, archive, and update all Samford events that air on the SoCon Digital Network.
• Work in conjunction with the Southern Conference and other video coordinators to share highlights and other video footage.
• Contribute on-air work, including season preview features, and baseball play-by-play/color.
• Oversee, concept and produce all postgame and weekly interview segments with coaches and players
• Oversee, concept and produce coaches shows
• Oversee, concept and produce interview segments to accompany feature stories
• Oversee posting and content to the Samford Athletics YouTube account
• Explore innovative and creative ways to tell the Samford athletics story through video production
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

Qualifications
Applicant must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/job-related experience.
Individual must have a minimum of two years work experience in television or video production, this may include work while an undergrad.
Experience working with editing software such as Final Cut, Motion, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other non–linear editing software.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of various digital platforms to include social media and websites.
Experience with software, technology, and production equipment required to support all forms of video services.
Ability to demonstrate creativity in both shooting and editing is a plus.
Applicant should be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Applicants should possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise solutions.
Prior experience working with a NCAA Division I athletic program, professional sports team or television network is also preferred.
